Provides for financial benefits and services to CTFN individuals and families who are in need. The purpose of the program is to enable individuals and families to maintain health, safety, dignity, and family unity. The assistance is offered in a respectful way with a view toward supporting self-sufficiency where possible. To this end, and through financial insentive, all participants establish they vision within a case management process, including life skills dev., seasonal ‘work opportunity’ programs, and education opportunities.

Families and individuals are provided assistance by supporting the needs either individually or for families. The social support worker works closely with families and individuals to reduce risks of family violence and child abuse and assists clients to enter treatment, healing programs or other programs that helps clients to better understand healthy family relationships for a more positive community.

The Community Health Coordinator is responsible for providing basic health case management. They also serve as a liaison between citizens of the First Nation and Government health officials and service providers. Includes home visits, school and community programs and assisting citizens in understanding the health care system. They are also responsible for health promotion and illness prevention programs.
Consulting with the Elders in order to plan cultural, social and recreational activities and to insure the needs of the Elders are met. The position is also responsible for monitoring and assisting in maintaining the health and well-being of the Elders.
